level2chargers.online is an independent reference site compiled by Ethan Walker. It sets out the published ENERGY STAR test values of AC electric vehicle chargers in a form that is easier to compare, and adds a calculator for charging time.
The site is not connected with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the ENERGY STAR program or any charger brand, and it does not sell anything. It does not recommend chargers and gives no prices, rebates, tax credits or installation advice.
Where the data comes from
All charger figures come from the U.S. EPA's ENERGY STAR Certified Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (AC-Output) dataset on data.energystar.gov, as of October 27, 2026. The data is in the public domain. How to read the data explains every measure, the checks applied to the file and what is left out.
